Warranty
Every product on Popo is original and arrives through official channels, which means warranty work is done by the manufacturer's authorised service, not by a local repair shop.
You have two warranties
1. The statutory warranty - 2 years. Under Georgian law a consumer who buys as a private individual may claim a remedy for two years if the item was already faulty at the time of sale. You have this right automatically and nothing overrides it.
2. The manufacturer's commercial warranty - 12 to 24 months, depending on the brand; the exact term is on the warranty card. It is the brand's additional promise and it adds to your statutory rights rather than replacing them.
Organisations are covered too. A company, a sole trader or a state body does not get the statutory two-year warranty - that is a consumer right - but the manufacturer's commercial warranty applies in full, for the same term and at the same authorised service.
Even after the statutory two years, some models and some key components are still covered by the manufacturer's commercial warranty; the term is stated on the warranty card.
What it covers
- Manufacturing defects, i.e. a fault that is not your doing;
- Free repair at an authorised service centre;
- Replacement or a refund when a repair is impossible or cannot be done in reasonable time.
How long a repair takes
The service centre repairs the item within 15 calendar days. If a spare part is not in stock and has to be ordered from abroad, that extends to 30 working days (weekends and public holidays excluded). We track the process ourselves and keep you posted.
What you need for a warranty claim
- The warranty card, stating the item, its serial or IMEI number, the buyer and the date of purchase;
- Proof of payment: a receipt, an invoice or the order number;
- The manufacturer's own warranty card if one came with the item - it takes precedence over ours.
If you lost the card, that is fine: the order is in our system and we restore the details ourselves.
What it does not cover
- Physical damage: impact, drops, a cracked screen or body;
- Liquid ingress and corrosion;
- Mains problems: voltage drops, wrong connection, no earth;
- Unauthorised repair or opening. Please do not let anyone open the item before the service does;
- Wear parts: filters, batteries, vacuum bags, brush heads;
- Household appliances used commercially - if a domestic machine runs in a cafe, a salon or an office, the commercial warranty term is reduced to 2 months;
- Use against the manual: wrong installation, skipped maintenance, overloading.
What to do if something fails
- 1. Call 0322 196 494 or write to info@popo.ge and describe what happens and when it started.
- 2. Have proof of purchase ready: a receipt, an invoice or the order number. If you have an account the order is in your profile and no paperwork is needed.
- 3. We collect the item and hand it to the authorised service. Diagnosis is free.
- 4. We tell you the outcome: repair, replacement or refund.
The box is not required for a warranty claim. It only matters for returns - see the returns page.
Common questions
I lost the warranty card. That is fine, the order is in our system. The order number or the phone number you bought with is enough.
How long does it take? That depends on the service centre and differs by brand. We tell you the estimate when we take the item in and we chase it ourselves.
Will I get a replacement meanwhile? It depends on the manufacturer's terms. Call us and we will check for that particular brand.
